This policy applies to consumer purchases made through didb.shop and explains both the statutory cancellation right for distance contracts and the separate remedies for faulty goods under UK consumer law.
You may cancel an eligible online purchase without giving a reason. For goods, the cancellation period ends 14 days after the day on which you, or a person nominated by you other than the carrier, receives the goods. If one order is delivered in separate consignments or pieces, the period generally runs from receipt of the last consignment or piece. For regular delivery during a defined period, it runs from receipt of the first delivery.
Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel by emailing info@didb.shop. You may use the model cancellation form below, but you do not have to. The notice is in time if sent before the cancellation period expires. If we offer an online cancellation form and you use it, we will acknowledge receipt on a durable medium without delay.
If the legally required cancellation information is not supplied, the cancellation period may be extended by up to 12 months. Providing the missing information during that extension ordinarily starts a new 14-day period.
After notifying us, you must send the goods back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the day you communicated cancellation. Contact info@didb.shop for the correct return-routing instructions. The operator’s geographical return address must be added to this policy before publication.
You bear the direct cost of returning change-of-mind goods if we informed you of that responsibility before the contract. We pay necessary return costs where goods are faulty, incorrect or otherwise non-conforming. You should package goods securely and retain proof of dispatch.
You may inspect goods as you reasonably could in a shop. We may reduce a cancellation refund only for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the goods’ nature, characteristics and functioning, and only where the law permits.
We refund payments received for the cancelled goods and the cost of the least expensive standard delivery offered. Standard delivery is free by default, so there is ordinarily no outbound delivery charge to refund. Extra cost arising from a faster or more expensive delivery choice is not refundable beyond the standard amount.
We will use the same payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise and incur no fee. For goods, reimbursement will be made within 14 days after the earliest of: the day we receive the goods back, the day you provide evidence that you sent them back, or, where no goods were supplied, 14 days after cancellation. We may withhold reimbursement until the goods or evidence of return is received.
The cancellation right does not apply where a statutory exception applies, including:
An exception does not remove rights relating to faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.
Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose made known to us, match their description and any sample or model, and comply with other mandatory standards. Please contact info@didb.shop promptly with the order number and a description of the problem. Photographs may assist but are not an automatic condition of statutory rights.
Where goods do not conform, consumers generally have a 30-day short-term right to reject and receive a refund. The period can pause while an agreed repair or replacement is pending. After that period, or where the consumer chooses, the usual first-tier remedy is repair or replacement within a reasonable time, without significant inconvenience and at the trader’s necessary cost. If repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, unsuccessful after the statutory opportunity, or not completed properly, the consumer may be entitled to a price reduction or final rejection. A deduction for use is not normally made on a final rejection within the first six months, except for motor vehicles.
If a fault appears within six months of delivery, it is generally presumed to have been present at delivery unless the trader proves otherwise or that presumption is incompatible with the goods or fault. Nothing here shortens the longer legal periods in which a claim may be brought.
Once approved, a refund is sent to the original payment method. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to post it. If a refund appears overdue, contact us after checking the original payment account. We do not issue store credit instead of a statutory cash refund unless the consumer freely agrees.
